Terms of Service
Last updated: September 27, 2026
These terms govern your use of ArCut, the AI-assisted video editing service available at arcut.pro. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
ArCut analyzes video files you upload, detects notable moments, and lets you edit and render highlight videos. AI detection is assistive: results vary with footage quality and content, and you remain responsible for reviewing the output before using it.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
- You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Your content
- You keep ownership. Uploading a video grants us only the limited license needed to store, process, and render it for you.
- You confirm you have the rights to the footage you upload — your own gameplay recordings, streams, or content you’re licensed to edit.
- We don’t use your content to train AI models.
- Videos are retained per your plan (7 days after upload on Free, 90 days after upload on Pro, and until you delete them on Studio) and then deleted. When a paid plan ends, its videos are kept 7 more days and then deleted. Video essays are kept for 30 days after creation on Free and until you delete them on a paid plan; when a paid plan ends, they are kept until 30 days after creation or 7 days after the plan ended, whichever is later, and then deleted.
4. YouTube
ArCut uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to your YouTube channel when you ask, and to find public YouTube videos while it researches a video essay.
By using ArCut’s YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- You are responsible for the videos you upload to YouTube through ArCut, and they must follow YouTube’s rules.
- You can disconnect your channel at any time in Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what ArCut stores and how to remove it, and the Google Privacy Policy covers how Google handles your data.
- ArCut is an independent product. It is not made, sponsored or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware,
- attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service,
- resell or provide the service to third parties without our agreement,
- circumvent usage limits, token accounting, or plan restrictions.
6. Plans, tokens, and billing
- Processing is measured in tokens (1 minute of video processing = 6 tokens; AI chat prompts also consume tokens). Token allowances reset monthly and unused tokens don’t roll over.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- EU VAT is applied where required. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice.
- Refunds: if something went wrong on our side (failed processing you were charged tokens for, double billing), contact us and we’ll make it right.
7. Availability and changes
ArCut is provided “as is”. We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may add, change, or remove features. We’ll give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the service you pay for.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of content you did not keep copies of — ArCut is an editing tool, not a backup service.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination your content is deleted per the retention rules above.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Consumers in the EU also keep the protections of their home country’s mandatory consumer law. Disputes go to the courts of Spain, unless mandatory law gives you a different venue.
